I'm actually thinking about writing in this thing again.

Who would've thunk it.

Oak Grove...

I'm not even gone and yet I already miss this place...

I also miss my family... Mom, Dad, and Renee, if you read this I just wanted to let you know that I love you guys!

God is so good.

He desires you, you have a role to play in His story!

This is a video that I took this summer while I was in West Virginia on my preaching internship.

p.s. I did not miss the net, I shot the ball right through a hole in the middle of it.  If you listen carefully you can hear two swooshes at the end, one is the ball hitting the remnants of the net and the other is the ball hitting the trees behind it.

Rollerblading can be dangerous

I have been reassured of a couple of safety measures within the past couple of days.  Thursday night I had a rather intense rollerblading accident.  Said accident took place at the corner of Bell Drive and Old Orchard Court, when I tried to slow myself down (I was speeding down Bell Drive at approximately 25 miles and hour) by turning up Old Orchard.  I hit a pile of gravel and proceeded to superman into the asphalt.  Wear a helmet!  Though it most likely wouldn't have prevented the gash in my chin (which required 15 stitches) it will give your mother peace of mind about your safety.  God was protecting me, it could've been much worse.

Continue to pray for the quick recovery of Anthony Fowler and Michael Zurek, as well as peace for all of the men of third south and our campus in general.  For those of you who are't closely connected with Johnson, five young men were in a very bad car accident yesterday.  Both Anthony and Michael need (and will have in the next day or so) reconstructive surgery for facial fractures.  The three others, Josh Haltom, Ross Najmon, and Ben Hayes were not seriously injured.  Ben has three staples and Josh's lips are cut up on the inside.  God has already used this situation to give us all perspective.  He is still good, he is always good.  And this life is short.  Wear a helmet and buckle your seat-belt, but remember that he's in control.

May he bless you as you serve him.  Miss you guys and love you.

joe
